Poaka’s take on Spain’s most famous traditional salami.  To our Poaka free range heritage breed acorn and sweet chestnut finished pork we add a good dose of the finest sweet spanish smoked pimenton (paprika), a touch of hot pimenton, garlic, organic black pepper. If you appreciate a good chorizo or just like amazing flavour you won’t be disappointed. Just like our other salamis, our Chorizo is fermented for several days and then aged for several months to intensify the flavours and mellow out the acidity created during fermentation. Our chorizo has a subtle smokey note, with a touch of sweetness from the pimenton and the perfect amount of silky fat to carry the flavours.

Extra Product Information

Poaka only uses natural  casings for our salamis. This allows natural white penicillium mould to colonize the surface. Resulting in an incredibly smooth flavour and an authentic looking salami.

Half salami weigh minimum of 350g. However due the the varying nature of the natural casings we use, you may get more!

Salami storage and serving

Our salami’s are shelf stable (they don’t require refrigeration) and can be safely stored at room temperature. So to maintain top product quality, we recommend keeping your salami in the fridge, or a suitable cool and dark place. Before you eat your salami, remove from the fridge, slice as thinly as you can and allow the sliced salami to come up to room temperature.
