The gold standard of lard, leaf lard comes from the comes from the visceral, or soft, fat from around the kidneys and loin of our free range pigs. We organically, free range farm all of our pigs, our fat is of exceptional quality and of the highest purity. Our Free range pigs have been able to forage on a variety of grasses, acorns, sweet chestnuts and many other good things out on the farm. As a result our pigs have fat that contains high levels of Omega-3 fatty acids and other micronutrients.
Poaka lard renders down into a beautiful product perfect for cooking and backing. Use lard in any situation where dairy or vegetable fat/oil is called for.
