Poaka dry cured, free range loin bacon cured with organic New Zealand sea salt and pure organic Canadian maple Syrup. Pork loin is one of the most tender cuts of pork. Using our acorn and sweet chestnut finished, heritage breed free range pork, this bacon is next level! When our pork loin is dry cured into our free range bacon it is simply outstanding, bursting with flavour and crispy everytime. And of course our dry cured bacon is made with our Poaka Free Range, pasture raised acorn and sweet chestnut finished pork, just like all of Poaka’s other products. Poaka’s free range bacon is sliced 4mm thick for the real bacon experience! Our dry cured free range bacon is rindless, but a nice fat cap over the meat remains.
Our free range bacon has no added water. In fact our dry curing process actually removes from the bacon as it slowly cures. This means our bacon crisps up beautifully, doesn’t shrivel up when cooked, however thanks to the superior quality pork remains sweet and tender. See our FAQ on Gluten in our products.
Our fresh free range sausages and free range bacon are dispatched on Thursday afternoon each week using the Courier Post overnight service. The sausages and bacon are packed in a special insulated cardboard shipping container along with an ice pack. This keep the items chilled for 48 hours to ensure your purchase arrives in a perfect and safe condition. The insulated cardboard shipping container can be reused or you can put it in the recycling bin where it is processed as normal cardboard.
